Albendazole 100 mg/ml
Treatment of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodoses caused by nematodes sensitive to albendazole
Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Albendazole 100 mg
Methyl paraben (as preservative) 2.0 mg
Propyl paraben (as preservative) 0.2 mg
Colour Brilliant Blue (E 133) 0.015 mg
Indication(s):
Cattle: Treatment of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodoses caused by nematodes sensitive to albendazole, both adult forms such as larvae and eggs:
– Gastrointestinal nematodoses: Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Nematodirus helvetianus
– Lung nematodes: Dictyocaulus viviparus
– Treatment of cestodoses produced by: Moniezia expansa
– Treatment of acute fasciolosis caused by adult forms of Fasciola hepatica.

Method and route(s) of administration:
For oral administration only.
Cattle:
– Treatment of nematodosis and cestodosis: 7.5 mg of albendazole / kg of body weight (equivalent to 0.075 ml / kg bw) in a single dose.
– Treatment of fasciolosis: 10 mg of albendazole / kg of body weight (equivalent to 0.100 ml / kg bw) in a single dose.
Withdrawal Period:
Cattle:
Meat: 14 days. Milk: 4 days.
Special storage conditions:
– Store below 30°C.
– Protect from frost.
– Do not freeze.
– Shake container before use.
– Shelf life after first opening the container: 3 months
Special warnings:
Use only against strains of Fasciola hepatica sensitive to albendazole. People with known hypersensitivity to albendazole should avoid all contact with this veterinary drug.
Handle the medicine with care to avoid contact with the skin and eyes, taking specific precautions.
